Revealed: This Man United Star Is ‘Carrying Secret Injury’ Ahead Of Europa League Final - 4 years ago
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been nursing a secret hamstring injury for the last two months, according to Dutch sportscaster, Van Gelder. The Red Devils star returned to the starting eleven in their clash against Crystal Palace, and performed well as they defeated Palace 2-0 at the Old Trafford as they prepare for the Europa League final against Ajax Amsterdam next Wednesday. However, Gelder has revealed that the French midfielder is not fully fit for the clash due to a hamstring injury that requires the attention of a physiotherapist. Van Gelder said: ‘He played with it Sunday against Crystal Palace and it went well,’ ‘But he’s been eight weeks under treatment with a Dutch physiotherapist Leo Echteld.’ Paul Pogba has not been too convincing this season since he joined them last summer for a world record deal from Juventus and has come under criticism for his below par displays at the Old Trafford. The Dutch physio is popular for his works with the likes of Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben, helping to cure long-term hamstring injuries. Despite the injury concerns, Pogba is expected to start their Europa League final against Ajax next Wednesday as a win for Red Devils will secure a Champions League position next season.
