10 things you should never wear to a wedding

Weddings are where you get to slay so here are some tips to help you without embarrassing yourself or committing a fashion felony.
This is obvious- you are not the bride so don’t try to hijack the wedding, except it is an all-white party.
Yes, black is classy but not for a wedding. If you must wear black, pair it with a bright coloured jacket, hat, bag, shoes, scarf or belt (but I advise you stay clear of it).
This is meant for a night out in town. Weddings have people of varying age groups and respectable people. Don’t offend them by dressing like a showgirl.
Go for a sophisticated look but you don’t have to wear lots of makeup like you just stepped off a runway to achieve that. Keep the makeup mellow and subtle.
I can assure you that no one else will be wearing this. You will stand out and not in a good way. If you want the pattern, wear polka dots or stripes instead.
Come on! It is a special day, maybe not for you but for the couple, so honour them by putting in more effort to look great.
Go for elegance and loud colours do not bring that. They only make you look like you are trying to outshine everyone else and that is bad.
You may feel like weddings are the opportunity to play dress up but if you have a bridesmaid’s dress that you have been dying to wear again, please don’t. You may end up looking like one of the bridesmaids (AWKWARD!).
You may work in a bank but a suit at a wedding is too much.
10. Not following the theme or colours of the day. Always stick to it!
