French striker, Kylian Mbappe might be set for a move away from Monaco this summer despite after a reported world-record offers from European giants, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United. Manchester United have reportedly submitted a bid for Monaco star Kylian Mbappe. The French teenager is attracting interest from clubs across the continent after shining for the principality club in Ligue 1 and the Champions League. According to Spanish outlet AS, United have submitted a bid of £113m, which would comfortably top the world-record £89m that the club paid for Paul Pogba 12 months’ ago. However, the report claims that Jose Mourinho will face competition in his pursuit of the forward. It also states that Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have submitted a bid of £105m, while Spanish giants Real Madrid have gone up to £118m. Mbappe has become one of the game’s most sought-after talents after his breakthrough season with Monaco, when he scored 26 goals in all competitions. The Monaco centre forward, though, is unlikely to take up any opportunity to leave Ligue 1 this summer with his eyes on a World Cup place in Russia next summer. His club, who won their first title in 17 years this season, will offer a new and improved contract to reflect Mbappe’s status as the world’s leading teenage centre forward prospect. Arsenal have also shown interest in Mbappe, whose 26 goals this season pricked the attention of Europe’s giants as the spearhead of Monaco’s surprise drive to the Champions League semi-finals. He is currently on international duty with France ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Sweden in Stockholm on Friday night.
