Horror: Plane Crashes at Airport Killing All On Board And Sparking State of Emergency - 4 years ago
A Daily Star UK report has shown that a plane has crashed, killing everyone on board and sparking a state of emergency. The plane rolled off the runway at Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia. Authorities have now reportedly placed the area in a state of emergency. It's now been confirmed that pilot and co-pilot died in the incident. West Virginia broadcaster WOWK said that the aircraft was a UPS cargo plane. The control tower at the airport is understood to be diverting all air traffic to other airports. Reporter Chelsea Spears tweeted that several people were on board the craft – their conditions are unknown. And ABC journalist Sam Sweeney described the plane as going off the runway and "over a hillside". First responders are having trouble raching the plane, another broadcaster, WSAZ3, reports. Roads around the area, including Barlow Drive and Keystone Drive, have been closed. The airport is operating under a Level 3 emergency which is the highest level. Nobody else is believed to have been on the aircraft.
