Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas, has revealed that they have rejected a bid from Arsenal for Alexandre Lacazette, but says talks are continuing.

Aulas also stated that they have not spoken to the Gunners, about a swap deal involving Olivier Giroud.

He said this while speaking at the unveiling of their new signing from Real Madrid, Mariano Diaz, on Friday.

“At this moment, we have not reached an agreement with Arsenal for Alexandre Lacazette.

“Also, an exchange between Lacazette and Olivier Giroud has never been spoken about,” Aulas said.

It is believed the Ligue 1 side wants €65million in total for Lacazette, a fee well in excess of Arsenal’s record deal – the £42million paid for Mesut Ozil.
